| Mode of action |
Flufenacet is related to the chloroacetamide class of herbicides and has the same mode of action through inhibiting the germination of seeds by inhibiting very long chain fatty acid synthesis. In the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana it causes similar symptoms to the fiddlehead mutant. |
