Introduction | Penoxsulam is an acetolactate synthase inhibitor herbicide. This substance is designed to control existing broadleaf weeds and similar plants in lawns, rice fields and cereal crops. Penoxsulam kills plants through a mechanism not present in animals and has few to no adverse effects on most species. This makes it a comparatively safe choice for killing unwanted grasses and broadleaf weeds. |
Application | Penoxsulam is a broad-spectrum herbicide used in rice fields, which can effectively control barnyard grass (including barnyard grass resistant to dichloroquinoline acid and acetyl CoA carboxylase), millet seed, and annual sedge weeds. It is also effective against many broad-leaved weeds, such as Heterothera limosa, Eclipta protota, Sesbania exaltata, Commelina diffusa, Monochoria vaginalis, etc. The effective period can be as long as 30-60 days, and a single application can basically control the harm of weeds throughout the season. At the same time, it can also prevent and control bensulfuron resistant weeds in rice fields, and has residual activity against many broad-leaved and sedge weeds, as well as barnyard grass. It is currently the most broad-spectrum herbicide used in rice fields |
