Procymidone is a systemic fungicide with protective and curative properties. Absorbed through the roots, with translocation to leaves and flowers.
Active ingredient | Procymidone |
Classification | Fungicide / Agrochemical |
CAS No. | 32809-16-8 |
Application | Systemic fungicide with protective and curative properties. Absorbed through the roots, with translocation to leaves and flowers. |
Mode of action | Applications: Targeted prevention and treatment is effective: Pythium chloride has special effects on gray mold and sclerotinia that occur in various crops under low temperature and high humidity conditions. Moreover, procymidone can also have a good control effect on bacteria that are resistant to benzimidazole fungicides (such as carbendazim, thiophanate-methyl, etc.). Both therapeutic and protective: Procymidone has a strong inhibitory effect on the germination of pathogen spores. By causing the germ tubes and hyphae of the spores to expand or even rupture, the protoplasm flows out and the hyphae are deformed, thereby preventing the formation of early lesions and preventing the expansion of the lesions, which has the dual functions of protection and treatment. Strong systemic absorption and long lasting effect: Procymidone has strong systemic properties. |
Usage | Procymidone is used for controlling of Botrytis, Sclerotinia, Monilia, and Helminthosporium spp. on fruit(including top fruit, strawberries and raspberries), vines, vegetables (including tomatoes, peas and beans), ornamentals, cereals, sunflowers, oilseed rape, soya beans, peanuts, tobacco, etc. Usually applied at 0.5-1.0 kg/ha. |
