Pre-emergence control of many annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in oilseed rape, peanuts, soya beans, cotton, sugar cane, sugar beet, brassicas, beans, peas, carrots, lettuce, capsicums, tomatoes, artichokes, onions, garlic, vines, strawberries, raspberries, citrus fruit, sunflowers, safflowers, ornamentals, parsnips, and in forestry. Used with Linuron or Isoproturon for control of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in winter cereals.

Toxicology	Oral Acute oral LD50 for male and female rats >5000, female mice >2000, male and female rabbits 4800 mg/kg. Skin and eye Acute percutaneous LD50 for male and female rabbits >2000, male and female rats >2000 mg/kg. Eye irritant; mild skin irritant (rabbits). No skin sensitisation (guinea pigs). Inhalation LC50 for male and female rats >5.1 mg/l air. NOEL (13 w) for rats 10 000 mg/kg b.w. (highest dose tested). No teratogenic or foetotoxic effects were observed at 1000 mg/kg b.w. in rats or 400 mg/kg b.w. in rabbits (highest doses tested). Other Acute i.p. LD50 for male rats 2500, female rats 2500-3200 mg/kg. Non-mutagenic, non-carcinogenic.
Application	1.Imazapyr is used for pre- and post-emergence control of a broad range of weeds, including terrestrial annual and perennial grasses, broad-leaved herbs, woody species, and riparian and emergent aquatic species. 2.Agricultural uses of imazapyr include field corn and grass. Tolerances are established for imazapyr residues in field corn and its forage and stover, and in grass forage and hay. Tolerances are also established for secondary residues of imazapyr in milk, meat, fish, and shellfish. 3.Imazapyr is also registered for use on a variety of commercial and residential use sites, including forestry sites, rights-of-way, fence rows, hedge rows, drainage systems, outdoor industrial areas, outdoor buildings and structures, domestic dwellings, paved areas, driveways, patios, parking areas, walkways, various water bodies (including ponds, lakes, streams, swamps, wetlands, stagnant water, and urban areas). 4.Imazapyr may also be used as a spot treatment in recreation areas, athletic fields, and golf course roughs.
