High Quality Weed Killer Herbicide Mefenacet 95% Tc 50%Wp Weedicide
Mefenacet is a member of benzothiazoles and a tertiary carboxamide. It has a role as an antimitotic and a herbicide.
Mefenacet is a selective systemic conduction-type aniline herbicide that acts as a cell growth and division inhibitor, particularly suppressing the division of immature meristem cells. It is mainly absorbed through the shoot and roots, and it is transported via the xylem and phloem to the young shoots and tender leaves of weeds, inhibiting cell division and elongation at the growth points of the weeds. When grass weeds (such as barnyard grass) come into contact with this herbicide, it rapidly accumulates at the growing points. It specifically inhibits cell division and enlarges the cells, thereby obstructing the growth of barnyard grass until death.

Application | Mefenacet is primarily used to control grassy weeds and is a highly effective herbicide for barnyard grass in rice fields. It can kill barnyard grass from before its emergence up to the three-leaf stage. It is effective against annual weeds and woolly grass. It exhibits good selectivity for transplanted rice and provides quick action from pre-emergence to early emergence, with a residual effect lasting over 30 days. The application method can be through water incorporation. |
Mode Of Action | Systemic soil herbicide with low selectivity, absorbed mainly by the roots, with ready translocation. |
