Wheat Annual Weed Killer Herbicide Mesosulfuron-methyl 95% Tc, 30g/L Od 1% Od
Mesosulfuron-Methyl is primarily absorbed by the stems and leaves of plants, conducted through the phloem and xylem, with a
small amount absorbed through the soil. It inhibits the activity of acetolactate synthase in sensitive plants, leading to a blockage
in the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, which in turn suppresses cell division and results in the death of sensitive plants.
Product name | Mesosulfuron-methyl |
CAS No. | 208465-21-8 |
Function | herbicide |
Specification | 95% Tc, 30g/L Od 1% Od |
Application | Controls a wide range of grass and broad-leaved weeds in wheat, barley, rice, oats and triticale by post-emergence application, at 4-8 g/ha. |
Mode of action | Methyl disulfuron belongs to the sulfonylurea class of highly effective herbicides, which works by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which is absorbed by the roots and leaves of weeds, and then conducts in the plant body, so that the weeds stop growing and then die. This agent has good preventive effect on winter wheat, spring wheat annual grass weeds and some broad-leaved weeds such as traditional witch hazel. |
Uses | During the 3 to 6 leaf stage of wheat, when grassy weeds are mostly emerged and at the 3 to 5 leaf stage, early application of the herbicide is recommended. Generally, 20 milliliters of a 30 g/L Mesosulfuron-Methyl dispersible oil suspension per acre can achieve ideal control efficacy. If the weed population mainly consists of resistant weeds like fungi grass, the dosage can be appropriately increased to 25 to 30 milliliters per acre. The application should be done using a spraying method, ensuring that the water volume used per acre is at least 30 kilograms. |
